06.18.21-.06.19-21 Shortest camping trip to date! Tropical storm Claudette was headed our way. We didn’t want to cancel in case the forecast was wrong. We continued to see heavy rain and high winds coming Saturday evening so we packed up before it started. Many other campers left on Saturday as well. This was our first trip to Old Federal Campground COE on Lake Lanier in Flowery Branch, GA. The campground is known for its epic water and sailboat views. 05.21.21-05.23.21 Clark Creek is located in Acworth, GA on Lake Allatoona. The campground is owned and operated by Bartow County Parks and Recreation. Split by the road, the park has two campgroundsānorth and south. We stayed at Clark Creek North once before, in the early spring. The lake was still low and it was cold outside. Victoria Campground is located in Woodstock, GA. A Corps of Engineers Campground on Lake Allatoona, it is open from March until October.

Clark Creek North Campground
Clark Creek Campground is located on Lake Allatoona and owned by Bartow County. The campground offers 24 RV sites, most of which are waterfront. This particular part of the lake is a no-wake zone which makes it great for swimming and shoring a boat.

Bald Ridge Campground – 44
Site 44 at Bald Ridge Campground is a back-in site located just past the beach. What makes this site epic is the access to the lake, the lake view on two sides, and the large grass area next to the outdoor living space.
