11.18.22 – 11.20.22 Tiny home living doesn’t have to be in a home on wheels. Waterside at Blue Ridge is a gated RV and tiny home resort located just seven miles north of downtown Blue Ridge. The campground offers 192 sites with the options of renting a tiny home and RV site rentals. My parents rented the tiny home on lot 145 at Waterside while we were staying on lot 108. The campground has a pool and large community hot tub. The Waterside Community Clubhouse is located across the road from the pool and offers rocking chairs, tables, a TV, bathrooms (with showers), laundry, and a deck overlooking the pond…

Fort Mountain State Park – 15
10.14.22-10.16.22 Fort Mountain State Park is located in the Chattahoochee National Forest in North Georgia. The park’s main attraction is the epic overlooks with views of the North Georgia mountains. At the top of the mountain hikers will find a stone fire tower built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, open for tours on the weekends. The drive up the mountain has quite a few curves, but our truck did great. The park includes a 17-acre lake with paddle boats to rent in the summer, a sand beach, and a putt-putt course. The State Park offers a fully stocked visitors center with plenty of ice and firewood. No cell service at this…

09.30.22-10.02.22 First weekend of October in the North Georgia mountains at the new resort campground with epic mountain views, count me in! Talona Ridge RV Resort is located in Ellijay, GA with views of the Blue Ridge mountains. This RV resort is brand new and already filling up for major holidays and fall weekends. The campground has a long list of amenities to offer visitors, such as a pool, hot tub, pickle ball court, dog park with dog washing station, gym, event space, and bar. Huntington Beach State Park – 140
09.18.22-09.24.22 Repeat after me, bring your bikes! Huntington Beach State Park is located in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. We previously camped at this state park twice and both of us grew up visiting this beach with family. The campground has 173 campsites, 66 of which are full hook-up with sewer connection. Both the north and south campgrounds have short walks to the ocean. The entire park offers 2500 acres of wildlife and the beach extends for three miles. This is the first trip that we stayed in the south campground, the full hook-up section. There is a $15 difference between the full hook-up campsites and the standard electric and water…
