Bald Ridge Campground – 69
Might have found my favorite site at our go to Lake Lanier Campground- Bald Ridge. Site 69 is on the corner of a peninsula and therefore has water on two sides (straight out the camper door and in the back.)

Bald Ridge Campground – 48
Many of the sites at Bald Ridge are shady, but offer waterfront access and views of the many boats going by.

Sweetwater Campground
Sweetwater Campground is located in Canton, Georgia on the northeast banks of Lake Allatoona. The campground includes 149 sites and a large group camping section with 9 sites and a pavilion. I included a color coded map for RV sites vs. tent sites because this campground has many more waterfront tent sites than most campgrounds we visit.

Fort Mountain State Park – 21
Site 21 at Fort Mountain State Park is a pull-thru in the creek side campground (we were in the lake side campground last time.) Both campgrounds are gated which was nice with all of the day visitors coming into the park. Site 21 is at the very end of the loop right before the entrance/exit. Most of the sites in this campground provide lots of shade and have plenty of room between each site. Sites 13-21 on the outside have trails to a small creek that we could hear from our campsite at night.

The boat ramp is located right outside the campground gate, which makes me wonder if it gets more traffic than just campers. The beach is located on the right when you drive into the campground. It never seemed to be crowded, probably because most sites are located right on the water. When researching Duckett Mill, I did not find facebook posts about people’s favorite sites or anything beyond a google search that pulled up a blog similar to this one. The Crafty Camping Mom posted about their…
