Cloudland Canyon State Park – 15
10.01.21-10.03.21 Found our favorite site at Cloudland Canyon State Park, too bad it is already booked solid in the fall of 2022. Our first trip to Cloudland Canyon happened in 2017, the year we bought the camper. We stayed on site 43 in the West Rim and will continue to book West Rim because we prefer the more spread out and wooded campsites. East Rim is great for proximity to the main overlook. (See details/photos about our October 2017 stay at site 43 in Cloudland). Cloudland Canyon State park has recently redone their campsite numbers and added a couple new spots. Information reflects the new campsite numbers, however the photos…

North Beach Camp Resort
09.22.21-09.26.21 The feeling that you’re camping in a state park, but have a full hook-up? Count me in! North Beach Camp Resort is located in St. Augustine, Florida. The campground is located just 5 miles from downtown St. Augustine, on a barrier island between saltwater North River and the Atlantic Ocean. The campground offers 160 campsites (50 amp, 30 amp, and 20 amp) and three cabins. The obvious attraction to North Beach Camp Resort is that it is located across the road from the beach. It was a short walk to the sand and the beach did not get crowded in September. We took our wagon every day with…

Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
09.18.21-09.22.21 Camping at the most magical place in the world? Sign me up! Honestly, when we purchased the camper I didn’t even have Fort Wilderness on my radar because everything about Disney is so expensive. However, for a Disney resort, the prices are affordable. Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida—about ten minutes from the Disney World parks. The Disney resort has more to offer than we could fit into our four-day stay. The campground offers two pools, horseback riding, pony rides, archery, fishing, movie nights, arcade, and multiple playgrounds. Rentals are available for biking, kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boats. Waggin’ Trails dog park is…

Reed Bingham State Park
09.17.21-9.18.21 Reed Bingham State Park is a great place to stop on the way to Florida, but it is also one of those parks that you want to go back to with more time. Located in Adel, Georgia, Reed Bingham State Park offers 1,613 acres of wildlife. The prime attraction is a 375-acre lake for boaters, skiers, and fishers. The campground has 46 RV/tents sites, 1 pioneer campground, and 1 primitive paddle-in island campsite. We were looking for a place to stay halfway from Woodstock, GA to Fort Wilderness Campground at Disney World. Reed Bingham State Park is located only 5 miles off I-75. We arrived about 9 p.m. and drove…

Old Highway 41 No. 3 Campground
09.03.21-09.06.21 We finally gave Old Highway 41 No. 3 campground in Cartersville, GA a chance and we are so glad we did! Old Highway 41 No. 3 Campground is a Corps of Engineers campground on Lake Allatoona. Unfortunately it is only open May 13 – September 5 (Labor Day). The campground has 50 sites, many of them waterfront. There is a playground, boat ramp (no dock), and dump station. The location of the campground is the big negative. The campground can be seen from interstate 75 and the traffic from the interstate can be heard through most of the campground. Fortunately, we were on the far side and did not…
