Fort Wilderness RV Resort – Premium
09.21.24-09.28.24 We have turned into a Disney family: a family that frequents Disney World, loves all things Disney, and gives all their money to a mouse. Fort Wilderness RV Resort and Campground is located on Disney property in Buena Vista, FL. We first camped on a premium meadow site in 2021. See that post for basic details on Fort Wilderness camping. In 2023, we camped in a preferred campsite near the dog park. Disney was running a deal on the reservations for the time period we booked, as the premium campsite was running $133 a night. We were able to book the reservation for Fort Wilderness RV Resort campsite separately from the park tickets. Later in the year Disney…

Tifton Overnight RV
09.20.24 & 09.28.24 Looking for an excellent and easy place to stay the night on the way in or out of Florida? We liked this park so much that we booked it again for the trip home. Tifton Overnight RV is located right off I-75 at exit 62. The park is automated in that you book your site online, receive a gate code, and use that to enter the campground. In the park you will NOT find a camp host, bath house, or vending machine. This is explained on the website–so I’m not sure why people are complaining about it in their google review. The park is fully enclosed with a large metal fence and the campsites are well…

McKinney Campground – 50 & 49
08.29.24-09.02.24 Booked a great campsite with friends six months out from the Holiday weekend. McKinney Campground is located in Acworth, Ga on Lake Allatoona. A Bartow County park, it has 150 RV campsites, two beaches, one playground, and a boat ramp. We have camped at McKinney seventeen times; it’s our go-to campground, nine miles from home. Campsites cost between $28 and $32 a night for electric and water hook-ups. To help you choose your next reservation, details and photos from all of our previous visits can be found by site number in the McKinney Campground category. Directions on how to book at McKinney Campground are at the end of this blog post.…

Birthday Party at a Georgia State Park
Are you looking for a venue to host your next event? We want to share all the details on how we saved BIG time by having our kids’ birthdays at a Georgia State Park. Consider a park pavilion for your next event! The picnic shelters and pavilions are rented for the entire day at a reasonable price. We are going to share details below on how to save money on the rental. We hosted both of our kids’ birthdays at Red Top Mountain State Park pavilion 2 for its close proximity to a playground and restroom. The parks recently built a new restroom between pavilion 1 and 2 and it…

Clark Creek North Campground – 18
08.16.24-08.18.24 I’ve got the perfect campsite for you if you love watching people and boats. Clark Creek North Campground is located in Bartow County on Lake Allatoona. It is run by the county and can only be booked through their website. (Details on how to book below.) The campground is split into two sections and is separated by a bridge. We have only stayed in Clark Creek North and always choose it, but the perk to the south is it’s the location of the campground beach and boat dock. North has one bathhouse and 24 sites. Heather’s favorite campsite is 14 (full blog post here) and my favorite campsite is 22…
