Hard Labor Creek State Park
06.08.24-06.12.24 If you want to explore another one of Georgia’s great state parks or just need a stop over off of I-20, Hard Labor Creek State Park has a lot to offer. Located in Rutledge, GA just four miles off of I-20 — Hard Labor Creek State Park is 5800 acres that includes a swimming beach, 18-hole golf course, 24 miles of trails for hikers, bikers, and horseback riders. There are two campgrounds in the state park, one with 51 electric/water campsites and the other is an equestrian campground, with 11 horse campsites and 30 horse stalls. 13 of the campsites (1-13) have sewer hookup. 05.24.24-05.28.24 Bring ant bait — more than you think you will need. Victoria Campground is located in Woodstock, GA. A Corps of Engineers park, it has 75 campsites, a beach, playground, boat ramp and boat dock. We have camped at Victoria Campground three other times. Ridge Road Campground
06.30.23-07.01.23 When recreation.gov doesn’t have photos of the campsite how likely are you to book? Ridge Road Campground is located in Appling, GA just 30 miles north of Augusta. The campground is located on J. Strom Thurmond Lake. At 70,000 acres with over 1000 miles of shoreline, it is the largest lake east of the Mississippi River. The campground has 63 campsites, many of them with water views and access. Ridge Road has a rustic feel with campsites laid on dusty gravel and some requiring fancy negotiation.
