3.23.18-3.25.18 Attention! McKinney Campground has changed some rules. Some of these will not affect the majority, however a couple will. For more details on the campground, view the blog post on our first visit to McKinney Campground. First, the most important rule to my family, what kept us from going to McKinney all last summer – the maximum dog limit is now three (before being two)!!! Why the maximum at all? 7.20.17-7.25.17 Taking advantage of my summer break, Heather set me up a day early at Bald Ridge Campground, on Lake Lanier. This was our second stay at Bald Ridge and we knew the campground was going to be one of our favorites in the summer. 6.8.17-6.11.17 Bald Ridge is a Core of Engineers campground location on Lake Lanier in Cumming, GA. Another man-made lake in GA, it is known for its swimming, boating, and water park/resort. We have never been to the water park or resort, but have heard good things. Bald Ridge has turned into our go-to campground for the summer months. The reason for that being they allow more than two dogs! That’s not the only reason though, most of the campsites have an easy walk to the water. 5.22.17-5.30.17 SOLD! We purchased/ordered our camper from Northgate RV in Ringgold in April and picked it up the end of May. The long awaited day came to pick up the camper and Heather got the quick walk-thru with the dealership while I was still at work. To make sure that everything worked correctly and because we were SO excited, we took it straight to McKinney Campground in Acworth, GA. McKinney Campground is a Core of Engineers Campground on Lake Allatoona about ten minutes from our house.
