Duckett Mill Campground – 73
08.30.19-09.02.19 Duckett Mill Campground is located in Gainesville, GA on Lake Lanier. It offers 97 sites with electric/water and 14 tent-only sites. The boat ramp is located right outside the campground gate, which makes me wonder if it gets more traffic than just campers. The beach is located on the right when you drive into the campground. Shady Grove Campground
05.17.19-05.19.19 Shady Grove Campground is located on the west side of Lake Lanier in Cumming, Georgia. Previously a Corps of Engineers campground, it is currently owned by Forsyth County Parks and Recreation. The campground is set up on a peninsula with a large number of the 96 total sites having waterfront access. Shady Grove Campground includes a large beach area, boat dock, and playground. Shady Grove Campground is the third Lake Lanier campground we have visited since starting the adventures in our travel trailer. Bolding Mill Campground and Bald Ridge Campground are…

We have multiple campgrounds much closer to home with lakefront sites. The original plan was to go home from Santee State Park to do laundry and hit the grocery store again before our visit to High Falls State Park, however when driving right past this park we had to look up availability. Sunday I checked online for sites open Wednesday through Friday at Mistletoe State Park. We couldn’t have been luckier. Site 49, a premium pull-thru site with water views…
