A. H. Stephens State Park
9.19.25-0.20.25 It’s a convenient place to stop off I-20, but A. H. Stephens State Park offers so much more. A. H. Stephens State Park is located in Crawfordville, GA–just three turns off Interstate 20. The park is best known for its history and equestrian facilities. There is an equestrian campground loop with 29 sites and a barn with stalls for horses. We also noticed a place to wash horses near the barn. Throughout the state park there are about 20 miles of horse trails. The main campground loop has 25 campsites with water, electric, and sewer hook-ups. The sewer connections were added about a year ago when the entire campground was renovated. A. H. Stephens…

Florence Marina has 41 full hook-up RV campsites, 7 cottages, and 8 efficiency units. The park has 66 boat slips available to rent at its marina. Other amenities include fish-cleaning stations, boat ramps, a playground, and mini golf. Originally we had this trip booked in January, but canceled due to weather conditions. At that time we had one of the best campsites, 24. It is a large pull-thru campsite…

Clark Creek North Campground – 18
08.16.24-08.18.24 I’ve got the perfect campsite for you if you love watching people and boats. Clark Creek North Campground is located in Bartow County on Lake Allatoona. It is run by the county and can only be booked through their website. (Details on how to book below.) The campground is split into two sections and is separated by a bridge. We have only stayed in Clark Creek North and always choose it, but the perk to the south is it’s the location of the campground beach and boat dock. North has one bathhouse and 24 sites. Heather’s favorite campsite is 14 (full blog post here) and my favorite campsite is 22…
