    Bald Ridge Campground – 44

08.14.20-08.16.20 Epic site for a great weekend with friends! This was our fifth time at Bald Ridge Campground this season. If you have been following along you know it is a favorite campground on Lake Lanier. If this is your first time to our blog, be sure to check out the other posts on Bald Ridge Campground for other details. We were able to pick up this reservation when a friend had to cancel their weekend. This is the type of site that is constantly booked months in advance. Best site at Bald Ridge Campground? Possibly! It’s for sure top 5. Site 44 is a back-in site located just past…

    Victoria Campground

07.31.20-08.02.20 I’ve finally figured it out. The best campground on Lake Allatoona after McKinney Campground is Victoria! Victoria Campground pleasantly surprised us because we were worried about the location in Bartow County. To get to Victoria Campground you will drive through multiple residential streets. Next to the campground is a large day-use beach and private marina. The campground is on the smaller side, with 75 campsites, but many of them are waterfront. The location of Victoria Campground is great for swimming, it’s right in the middle of the main portion of the lake. It can get rather busy on the water here, especially on the holiday weekends. We reserved site…

    Bald Ridge Campground – 31 & 30

07.02.20-07.05.20 The best sites for a holiday weekend have to be booked 6 months in advance, sometimes to the minute. We scored site 31 for the 4th of July weekend. Seems like we are living at Bald Ridge Campground almost every weekend, but this is the last one we have booked for the summer. Site 31 is in the loop past the beach. The driveway is long enough to fit three vehicles and our trailer. Thankfully the water and electric hook up sit further off the site than the other sites we reserved in the past (48 & 53). The trees in this site provide a decent amount of shade for…

    Bald Ridge Campground – 69

06.26.20-06.28.20 Might have found my favorite site at our go to Lake Lanier Campground. And of course— I will share all the details! For more details about the campground, be sure to check out any of the other Bald Ridge Campground posts (4). Ever since our first trip to Bald Ridge Campground I have been wanting to book site 69, but of course it never seemed to be available. I finally found an open weekend, May 8th-10th 2020. We booked the site about five months out from that date. Unfortunately, Lake Lanier experienced heavy rains that caused flood damage to some of their sites. They did not close the entire…

    Bald Ridge Campground – 48

06.11.20-06.14.20 Reasons we love Bald Ridge Campground in Cumming, Georgia on Lake Lanier: Heather grew up going here and has many memories riding her bike around and around the loops as a little kid. Of all the campgrounds on Lake Lanier this one is the closest to our home. Many of the sites at Bald Ridge are shady, but offer waterfront access and views of the many boats going by. We enjoy the location on the lake for that reason. The water is refreshing and inviting to swim in. Another perk about Bald Ridge campground is the ability to flush your black tank with the campground hose. It will connect…
