    Bald Ridge Campground – 31 & 30

    July 8, 2020 /

Site 31 at Bald Ridge Campground is in the loop past the beach. The driveway is long enough to fit three vehicles and our trailer. Site 30 is one of the best sites in the campground.

    Bald Ridge Campground – 69

    July 1, 2020 /

Might have found my favorite site at our go to Lake Lanier Campground- Bald Ridge. Site 69 is on the corner of a peninsula and therefore has water on two sides (straight out the camper door and in the back.)

    Sweetwater Campground

    June 10, 2020 /

Sweetwater Campground is located in Canton, Georgia on the northeast banks of Lake Allatoona. The campground includes 149 sites and a large group camping section with 9 sites and a pavilion. I included a color coded map for RV sites vs. tent sites because this campground has many more waterfront tent sites than most campgrounds we visit.

    Duckett Mill Campground – 73

    September 26, 2019 /

08.30.19-09.02.19 Duckett Mill Campground is located in Gainesville, GA on Lake Lanier. It offers 97 sites with electric/water and 14 tent-only sites. The boat ramp is located right outside the campground gate, which makes me wonder if it gets more traffic than just campers. The beach is located on the right when you drive into the campground. It never seemed to be crowded, probably because most sites are located right on the water. When researching Duckett Mill, I did not find facebook posts about people’s favorite sites or anything beyond a google search that pulled up a blog similar to this one. The Crafty Camping Mom posted about their…

Took the kayaks out on Lake Allatoona today. Knox Took the kayaks out on Lake Allatoona today. Knox Bridge boat ramp in Canton was perfect for putting in the kayaks— less busy and a more narrow portion of the lake.

Unfortunately @vantechusa doesn’t make our rack anymore. It has worked perfectly for the set up when towing the camper.

Do you ever leave your dogs in the camper? We don’t take them to the vineyards, breweries, and restaurants along the way. The only way we feel comfortable leaving them is with a temperature monitoring system to alert us if the power goes out or out of range. @meetmarcell has worked great for us the last five years. With our state park adventures we don’t usually have WiFi and MarCell does not require it. It runs off of Verizon and AT&T towers and sends texts alerts. They gave us a discount code to share with you guys! Use the code Imagine20 to get $20 off your new temperature monitoring unit.
Anyone else love visiting vineyards and breweries? Anyone else love visiting vineyards and breweries? We choose @serenberryvineyards to visit on this trip to Blue Ridge and plan to visit others next time. But we loved this one! Came home with two bottles of wine to enjoy later and had a great time watching another family flying kites on the large hill.
